Pedestrian / Bicycle Safety Tags Go On Sale

Mississippi has become the 10th state to offer a specialty license plate that encourages pedestrian and cycling safety. This is an official Mississippi plate and replaces your regular tag. Thanks to Bike / Walk Mississippi, the authorizing bill passed the legislature last month. Once 200 tags have been sold, they will be put into production and available to everyone. Be one of the first to have the new tag by going to one of the local bike shops and filling out your application. Or print out the application now, and mail it in*.
 * If mailing your application, mail along with a check made payable to Bike/Walk Mississippi in the amount of $31.00 for the tag.  Enclose a total of $50 (separate checks please) and also get a shirt and bumper sticker while supplies last– please specify size.
